Carbon Removal and Carbon Capture

Transforming carbon dioxide into valuble products is the key to scale

Using the same technology for DACCS and CCUS

It doesn’t matter if the CO2 comes from the atmosphere or from a point source – using our semi solid sorbents we can absorb this greenhouse gas and turn it into carbonate to be used in building materials

DACCS – Direct Air Carbon Capture and Storage

CCUS – Carbon Capture, Utilization, Storage

carbon capture will have to be used to reduce emissions from hard to abate industry even in the future

In this technology there is no need to regenerate the sorbent by applying costly heat

The sorbents are sodium based

three sorbents developed with seperate process for every one

One sorbent has been tested by the university of Ben-Gurion in Israel and confirmed that it removes co2 from air

The basic chemistry is well known :

2NaOH + CO2 => Na2CO3 + H2O

The real innovation is how to make a semi solid sorbent with high surface area so it can be safe to use and react with co2 effectively

These colorful bricks contain the carbonate, making them low carbon bricks while reducing the amount of concrete

Here is how it looks in a special sample brick that was made to show the carbonate inside

Monitoring is done by using microcontroller and CO2, temperature, humidity sensor that transfers the data to the cloud

Eight carbon dioxide removal prototype machines have already been built and operated in the outside enviroment

Since 16/11/2025 the new model 9 is working in a warehouse that was rented and sending data to the cloud from the machine while removing CO2 from the air

For the current sorbent material used in model 9 – most of the carbonate is processed with reactant to form the new sorbent so only the excess carbonate goes toward the making of the building products.

We need to think outside the box to find better solutions
